i am on ssdisabilty.i put in a new energy star furnace in 2009,when i filed my taxes i found out i didn't qualify because i didn't have a income.why is this?it stinks.

We are thinking of replacing our 1980's solar collectors. The rest of the system is OK. Is there a Residential Renewable Energy Tax Credit for just the solar collectors?
